We are curious on how to create unlimited application of knowledge in all possible situations and activities - for individuals and groups. In our research we primarily work with four basic principles of human behavior and thinking:
- Same focus at the same time - one focus at a time (parallel thinking)
- Focusing on the task and nothing else (task focus)
- No experience of judgement (no-experienced judgement)
- Use of all knowledge available (horizontal thinking)
We are very openminded towards which situations/activities we are doing research in/on, however, we are primarily interested in the unlimited application of knowledge. It is basically a human ability that can be studied across disciplines, cultures and social structures.
Currently we are particularly curious in the following:
- Training of new thinking on a psychological and an organisational (and group) level
- Learning through creative thinking (from primary school to Ph.D. courses)
- Teaching creativity both as a reflective and as an embodied learning
Our work is based on the basic assumption that an uncompromising application of the four fundamental principles will lead to unlimited application of knowledge, and we continuously study the validity and the limitations for this assumption. Our research in this area is highly experimental, and we are continuously looking for how humans change their behavior and thinking in order to apply their knowledge unlimited - individually and in groups.
Our starting point is that an idea is a situation-specific application of knowledge and therefore creativity is a key area in our research. We define creativity as unlimited application of knowledge, and we define our research area as the design and development of human creativity.
